JENNIFER
HEARN
Jennifer Hearn recently retired as Vice President, Resource Development with Habitat for Humanity Canada, where for nearly eight years she led national fundraising efforts in support of affordable homeownership in Canada and around the world. In this role, she also worked closely with all 44 local Habitat organizations across the country, sharing best practices and aligning national fundraising strategies with grassroots initiatives to maximize impact.
Prior to Habitat, Jennifer was with the CAMH Foundation (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health), where she managed corporate partnerships and cause marketing. She transitioned to the non-profit sector in 2015 after a successful career in multinational corporations and marketing agencies, driven by a desire to apply her business development expertise to advancing social good.
One of the national programs she oversaw at Habitat was the Indigenous Housing Partnership, through national corporate support, provided grants to local Habitats collaborating with Indigenous communities to help address urgent housing needs.
Jennifer lives in the Collingwood area of Ontario’s Georgian Bay region with her husband, and together they share five adult children. An avid athlete, she enjoys downhill skiing, sailing, gravel biking, hiking, golf, running, and has recently added pickle ball to her retirement pursuits.
Bringing together her passion for supporting Indigenous communities, her leadership experience at Habitat, and her love of sport and play, Jennifer is excited to contribute to Spirit North’s mission of empowering Indigenous youth through movement, sport, and recreation.
